LONDON, 3rd June: Publicis Groupe UK has appointed Chris McCafferty as CEO of MSL London. McCafferty will assume his new position later this year on 16th September.
McCafferty will be responsible for leading MSL London, 200 employees and clients. McCafferty will report to Annette King as part of the UK Publicis Groupe UK country model and Guillaume Herbette, global CEO of MSL.
McCafferty, Founder of Karmarama’s PR agency – Kaper, was previously Managing Director of Accenture Interactive’s UK Experience Agency. His experience focuses on ensuring connected creative ideas for clients through a fuller and more seamless customer journey. McCafferty will work with MSL’s leadership team and other agencies within Publicis Groupe UK to help accelerate growth for MSL and work even more closely with other Publicis Groupe agencies to better serve clients through the Power of One. He will also collaborate with MSL leaders across the MSL global network to support multi-market growth opportunities.
Before Accenture, McCafferty was at Shine Communications where he helped win clients including LastMinute.com, Volvic, Indesit and worked with eBay. Prior to that, he was responsible for communications at MSN at a critical time of growth for the brand.
James Parsons who has successfully led MSL London for the past five years decided to move on from the company earlier this year. James will leave in June 2019. In the interim, James Warren – Strategic Development Director of MSL London – will step up to the position of General Manager, responsible for leading the agency in the interim until Chris joins.
