As always, the Cannes Lions remained highly competitive receiving 29,074 pieces of work entered from 90 countries, with entries spanning two years after the awards were paused due to the global pandemic in 2020. Judges evaluated each high entry on its courage, authenticity and ability to drive influence in the market, with an eye towards awarding campaigns that demonstrated how original thinking, transformative insight and a strategy rooted in earned has influenced opinion and driven a cultural and social change.
