MSL Strengthens Its Expertise in Public Affairs by Acquiring Domaines Publics

Consulting firm will become part of Publicis Consultants in France

Paris, 19 June 2018: MSL has acquired Domaines Publics, a public affairs consulting firm that specializes in industry groups and services, unions and professional federations. The firm, based in Paris, and founded in 2004 by Jean-Michel Arnaud and Steven Zunz, will become part of Publicis Consultants, the name for MSL’s operation in France, greatly strengthening the unit’s public affairs capability. Domaines Publics has about twenty collaborators. 

Publicis Consultants assists companies, institutions and brands in building their relationships with stakeholders: the media, shareholders, politicians and elected officials, society, the financial world and customers.

Jean-Michel Arnaud and Steven Zunz appointed Vice Presidents of Publicis Consultants, alongside Catherine Gros.

About Jean-Michel Arnaud
In 2004, Jean-Michel Arnaud co-founded and the Domaines Publics public affairs group which he has served as Chairman.  He expanded the group with acquisitions of Signs (economic intelligence) and the Abécédaire des Institutions (content publishing).  

Arnaud began his career at McKinsey and later served at the Directorate of External Economic Relations.  He also developed a U.S. import-export business for industrial goods. 

While at the Institute of Enterprise as a research manager and Deputy Director, he contributed to the development of numerous industry groups and business services. While Marketing Director, Director of Development Europe, and later General Manager within the SHRM and Compass groups, he founded Causalis (economic intelligence) in 1998, Kko (marketing and events) and Happy Few (training & coaching). 

In 2002 he launched the newspaper Metro in France and several European countries.  He became President of Metro France in 2007, then led the sale of the newspaper to the TF1 group in 2011, becoming Vice President of Metro International Newspapers. 

Arnaud is an author of numerous columns and forums in the economic press.  He is also France's Foreign Trade Advisor and visiting professor at Paris Descartes University.  www.jeanmichelarnaud.com

About Steven Zunz
With a marketing degree at Sciences Po, Steven Zunz began his career in public life as a parliamentary attaché for numerous elected officials. In 1996, he founded the PIC Conseil public affairs firm. A specialist in government and parliamentary relations, he has been responsible for the evolution of various legislation in regulated sectors. In 2004, he co-founded and chaired the Domaines Publics public affairs group with Arnaud.  

For several years, Zunz has also been involved in union management of real estate professionals, particularly within the SNPI, which he represents at MEDEF. 

He is the author of numerous chronicles and tribunes in the economic press and a book "France for sale?  Put an end to the fear of foreign investments" published by Hermann in 2018.  He is a founding member of the Association Française des Conseils en Lobbying.  www.stevenzunz.com
