Schmitt will steer MSL’s digital and social teams to translate client business objectives into data-driven actions and results. He’ll orchestrate innovative digital influence campaigns that integrate the agency’s social, PR and experiential capabilities. He joins MSL from Mirum JWT, where he was Director Strategy & Insights Vietnam/APAC. Prior to that, he worked for Wunderman in Seattle and Beijing as (Global) Account Director on Team Microsoft. Schmitt is a US national with Vietnamese roots.

“Richard brings an impressive track record in digital strategy and analytics for innovative global clients,” said Jeroen Fermie, General Manager of MSL Vietnam. “Using the power of data has never been more critical to better design and target our work, and measure its impact. Richard’s mission to fuse our great social, PR and experiential work with new tools, thinking and data align perfectly with MSL’s strategic focus.”

As part of Publicis Groupe’s ’Power of One’ model, Schmitt will drive the development of innovative products and services in close collaboration with digital media experts across the Groupe. He will accelerate local trial and implementation of new tools such as Conversation2Commerce, the influence-to-impact performance platform.

“MSL is known for building influence and driving impact. With consumer trust has shifted from brands to third-party influence, the opportunity is to put social influence at the center of marketing campaigns to create real business results with our clients,” said Schmitt. “New technologies are allowing a new and dynamic version of PR influence to take root. I look forward to helping MSL bolster its approach towards influence marketing to effectively unlock, scale, and target the flow of influence to improve brand positions and impact commerce.”

Duy Quach

As Digital Lead, Duy Quach will expand MSL’s digital team to accommodate recent business growth. Working under the guidance of Richard Schmitt, she joined MSL to oversee all digital projects.
