Jonathan Lomax joins MSL as Managing Director of its Corporate Practice in London
Latest in a string of corporate hires in London to fuel continued growth
London, 16 April 2018 – Jonathan Lomax is set to join MSL to lead its London Reputation Management and Corporate Communications Practice following seven years at MHP Communications, most recently as Managing Director, Head of Corporate Affairs. Lomax arrives with over 15 years’ experience in corporate communications having held client-side roles in addition to time as agency COO and MD. He brings with him significant experience across a range of sectors, including financial services, transport, infrastructure and the voluntary sector, as well as leading on crisis and issues.
Lomax will be tasked with continuing the strong growth of MSL’s Reputation Management and Corporate Communications Practice over the past three years. His appointment is the latest in a series of senior hires, reflecting continued investment in this growing practice. Supporting him is new hire Simon Harrison, Senior Director, who has been tasked with boosting the media relations and training offer following his time as Director of Coverage at CNN International. Both will work alongside corporate directors Tom Bell and Liam O’Keefe, whose impact on MSL’s business is already being felt both in London and across the global network.
James Parsons, Joint CEO at MSL said of the announcement: “We are thrilled that Jonathan is joining the team and know that his background in delivering major transformation projects and strong leadership skills will drive MSL’s corporate offer to next level. The practice has grown consistently for the last three years, achieving over 30% growth in 2017 following wins such as AkzoNobel, Transferwise and Landsec. We set high expectations for this role and Jonathan ticked all the boxes. Culturally he’s an excellent fit for MSL, he’s commercially savvy, values creativity; he’s a strong senior adviser and has a proven track record in building prosperous, long-term client relationships. We have no doubt Jonathan will steer the corporate practice firmly in the right direction.”
Jonathan Lomax said: “MSL’s ambitious growth plans, the impressive performance to date and integrated way of working are what attracted me to this role. I think MSL has an opportunity to demonstrate a level of creativity in corporate work that will really mark it out from its competitors. That, in addition to a very strong international network, a superb existing team and a diverse roster of clients will help me to continue to drive growth.“
Lomax’s appointment reflects the continued investment in the sustainable growth of MSL London. It comes just two months after MSL appointed Andrea Donovan as Managing Director of its Consumer Marketing Practice and the recent appointment of Ben Jackson in the Employee Practice.
